New tools for brake servicing

10/05/2011

ATE has added the new ATE BFT 320P brake fluid tester (order number: 03.9311-0085.4 (730077)) to its product range. It is equipped with a thermal printer and helps automotive specialists to document the measurement results obtained. The printer, which can be plugged into the brake fluid tester by means of a bracket, provides two copies of the measurement result automatically upon completion of the measurement and, if appropriate, a recommendation that the brake fluid be changed. The ATE BFT 320P brake fluid tester allows the boiling point of all glycol-based brake fluids to be measured with laboratory precision.

ATE is now also offering its new wheel hub cleaning set 4 (order number 03.9314-1370.4 (760156)). It allows automotive specialists to clean the wheel hubs down to the bare metal as part of a specialist brake repair. The set consists of a pneumatic angle grinder and four fine-grained cleaning brushes. Another new product is the optional body set (order number 03.9314-1371.3 (760157)). This contains medium and coarse-grained cleaning brushes and extends the range of application of the pneumatic grinder.

For the repair of brake lines, the new ATE flaring tool is now also available (order number 03-9310-0016-4 (760155)). It can be used both directly on the vehicle and in a vice and is suitable for brake lines with a diameter of 4.75 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm. The cost-efficient tool enables rapid flaring to type E and F in accordance with DIN 74234/ISO 4038. In addition to the tool itself, the package contains five adapters and ten union screws for the rapid repair of brake lines with a diameter of 4.75 mm.

Further information about the tools can be found in the ATE online tool catalogue at www.ate-info.de or from your specialist ATE dealer.
