At the beginning of October 2011, Continental opened a new TrainingsCenter in Alcobendas, a suburb of Madrid. Here, employees of motor vehicle garages and retail organisations can undergo training on ATE brake technology, VDO diagnostics, Contitech products and Continental tyre technology in modern surroundings and under optimal conditions. The training room of the Continental TrainingsCenter in Alcobendas features state-of-the-art equipment and can accommodate up to 20 course participants. In the adjacent training workshop, the participants can reinforce what they have learned in practice. The workshop has the latest equipment and is

set up like an ATE BrakeCenter.

The opening of the Continental TrainingsCenter in Alcobendas is a symbol of the great success which Continental was able to achieve on the Iberian peninsula last year. The opening took place on 4 and 5 October 2011 with a number of events. Over these two days, employees from both Continental and our customers as well as numerous press representatives had the opportunity to view the excellent facilities of the Continental TrainingsCenter and learn about the advantages of the ATE BrakeCenter workshop system. The event was a complete success and was very well received by all visitors.

The Continental TrainingsCenter in Alcobendas is already the fourth facility of its type alongside those in Eschborn, Milan and Prague. Continental places high value on the qualified transfer of expertise within the IAM sector and on ongoing training of the employees of motor vehicle garages and retail organisations. Accordingly, Continental will continue to expand its involvement in the area of training. In fact, further sites for Continental TrainingsCenters are already planned.
