Original ATE brake pads –Highest quality and safety At around 95% (EU5), ATE offers its customers a very high level of vehicle coverage with original ATE brake pads for the replacement parts market. ECE-R90 is a component of Directive 98/12/EC on brake systems. It was introduced on 01.01.1999 and became compulsory throughout the EU on 01.04.2001. It specifies that the performance of replacement brake pads and replacement drum brake linings available for motor vehicles and their trailers on the open market for replacement parts may deviate from that of original pads and linings by a maximum of +/- 15%. ECE-R90 ensures that brake pads have a uniform level of quality. Replacement brake parts for vehicles registered before 01.04.2001 must have a General Operating Permit (GOP) from the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Germany. ATE recognized this approach years earlier and since then has implemented internal company specifications which exceed the already demanding technical requirements of the ECE Directive. For example, ATE has always tested its products according to the standard for Original Equipment Manufacturers – a standard which meets the toughest safety requirements. As a member of the working group which develops industry standards, ATE was heavily involved in the introduction of the GOP standard, for example. Tomorrow's statutory requirements form the basis for tried-and-tested ATE quality today!
Original ATE brake pads surpass the quality and safety standards of the European ECE-R90 directive. They provide maximum braking performance right from the start in every driving situation. |
