More caliper housing spring retaining clips in ATE range Continental is further extending its range of ATE caliper housing spring retaining clips for ATE brake calipers. Currently, over 40 different part numbers are available in this product line. The part is made either of wire or sheet metal and is only available from ATE in OEM quality. All caliper housing spring retaining clips are packaged individually and they are bundled into unit packs of 20 per each particular part number. Caliper housing spring retaining clips are an essential component of ATE-designed fist floating brake calipers. The fist floating caliper consists of a holder and housing, which is located in rubber damping sleeves. It slides within the holder together with the outer brake pad while as the pad wears. To prevent the housing from lifting off the pad and causing noise issues, the caliper is pulled against the brake pad by the caliper housing spring retaining clip. These clips are exposed to continuous corrosion attack and should therefore also be replaced each time the brake pads are changed. Details on the range of ATE caliper housing springs retaining clips are available for you and can be found in the attached file, in our catalog and on TecDoc (assembly selection/separate parts).
